Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Maintenance Cleaner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of residential and commercial properties under management. The ideal candidate will be skilled at maintaining a clean and well-kept environment, helping to improve tenant satisfaction and preserve the condition of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain common areas of the property, including hallways, stairwells, elevators, entryways, lobbies, laundry rooms, and restrooms.

• Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum floors throughout residential and commercial properties.

• Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and glass doors to ensure they are free from streaks and smudges.

• Empty and properly dispose of trash and recycling from both indoor and outdoor areas.

• Perform routine cleaning and upkeep in tenant units between leases (e.g., removing trash, deep cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, etc.).

• Replenish cleaning supplies in shared areas (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper).

• Disinfect high-touch areas such as doorknobs, light switches, handrails, and elevator buttons.

• Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas, such as walkways, parking lots, and patios, including snow removal in winter (if applicable).

• Conduct regular inspections of cleaning and maintenance supplies, notifying supervisors when replacements are needed.

• Assist in maintaining grounds by performing light landscaping tasks like trash pickup and basic outdoor cleaning.

• Respond to tenant requests regarding cleanliness issues in common areas or units.

• Assist maintenance team with basic property upkeep as required (e.g., minor repairs, maintenance requests).

• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures while handling cleaning products and equipment.

• Ensure all tools and cleaning materials are stored safely and securely after use.

Qualifications:

• Prior cleaning or property maintenance experience is preferred, especially in residential or commercial properties.

• Familiarity with property maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, waste management, and minor repairs.

• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.

• Good physical fitness to handle cleaning equipment, lift heavy items, and perform cleaning tasks in a variety of environments.

• Ability to follow instructions, cleaning protocols, and safety guidelines.

• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

• Good communication skills to interact with tenants and maintenance team members.

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

• Availability for occasional evening or weekend shifts may be required.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors on residential and commercial properties.

• Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and allergens.

• May involve work in high-traffic areas and tenant spaces.

• Work in non-climate-controlled environments, including outdoor areas for general property upkeep and seasonal tasks like snow removal or lawn care.
